If you want to write an exceptional sales letters format, you should first think about your audience. Come up with a list of all your potential leads and who they are so you can learn more about your potential customers. Without knowing your audience, you won’t know how you will sell your product. But once you understand your audience, writing the letter becomes an easier task.

If it’s one thing I can sure improve my copywriting skills! These are some great examples and #8 really caught my eye. I like the idea of sounding more conversational when it comes to selling any products or services to my audience. But as you said at the end of the post writing good copy is about understanding your customers and why they chose you over the bazillion other people that’s selling the promoting the same or something similar.

The reason is: people are looking to hire you based on your skills at copywriting.  Not “how fancy your website looks.”  This is a common mistake.  Look how crappy my copywriting consults page is.  That page generates huge returns even though it sucks super bad.  The desire to buy is created from previous exposure to me, NOT the way the page looks.

Tweets, a YouTube video, and blogs on your website all comprise content marketing. Content Marketing works because it melds together exceptional content with other types of digital marketing like SEO and Social Media Marketing.

Tip #7 – Choose one industry and master it. For 16 years now I’ve done a lot of work in the dating advice industry. There are very few copywriters in the world who know more about what the customer’s desire and pain points than I do. If you’re passionate about fitness, then stick with that niche and devour that industry’s best offers. Become a stalker of good copy in your favorite niche.

Businesses must pay to have their content published, but the article isn’t advertorial in nature -- it’s educational and fits the style of the website or publication it’s featured in. Native advertising can also refer to boosted social media posts on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, as well as PPC, which is ‘native’ to Google's search results.

What a great list. I always enjoy your examples and the way you illuminate them with your analysis. I just went to check out Mailchimp’s T&Cs and you’re right, they’re strangely pleasurable. So clear and engaging (!) – their use of “we” and “you” instead of “company/client” makes such a difference to the explanation. Who’d have thought it of T&Cs? I ended up reading the entire page. (I should probably get out more – but I have to go swipe another two or three of these sites first.)
We refer to these digital marketing channels/assets as 'owned' because once your business has created them, they’re yours.
